The Professional Leadership Education Scholarship is presented annually to a resident to attend a leadership course to support their development of interpersonal and non-clinical skills necessary to succeed as both a clinician and a leader
- Bioskills Education Laboratory Visiting Alumni Program
This program offers the unique opportunity for an HSS alum to return to HSS and facilitate a service-specific BSEL session, to network with trainees and continue our longstanding tradition of education and commitment to lifelong learning
- Andrew N. Swanson, MD, Humanitarian Lectureship
The lectureship is presented to an HSS alum who has excelled in the areas of spine education, research, practice, and humanitarian efforts
- Andrew N. Swanson, MD, Traveling Fellowship
The fellowship is awarded to an HSS resident interested in the area of spine surgery and has demonstrated commitment to providing compassionate medical care, consists of a two-week scholarship with the FOCOS clinic in Ghana
- Lance Peters, MD, Memorial Biomechanics Award
The Lance Peters, MD, Memorial Biomechanics Award recognizes an HSS-trained researcher (current or recent) for an outstanding published paper in biomechanics research

The Georgette "Gigi" Viellion, RN, ONC, Endowed Orthopaedic Nursing Education Scholarship Fund
This fund was established in 2008 to honor Gigi Viellion and provide a financial scholarship on an annual basis for one nurse to attend the AAOS and/or AAON Meeting or similar professional forum.
