Analysis of the Trident Cup after Total Hip Replacement

Scope

The purpose of this research project is to perform an initial analysis of the Stryker Trident cup system in total hip arthroplasties. All Trident cups that have been implanted on the arthroplasty service at Hospital for Special Surgery since the introduction of this system will be included in our analysis.

We plan on reviewing radiographs to look for aseptic loosening and failure and will report the number of revisions as well as the reason for revision (aseptic loosening, infection, dislocation).

We are looking for a medical student to assist us with the data acquisition and analysis for this study. If the work is completed in a timely fashion, the student will also help with manuscript preparation.
