Dr. Eytan Debbi is a hip and knee replacement surgeon at HSS and one of a handful of orthopedic surgeons with a doctorate in biorobotics, biomechanics and mechanical engineering. He is an expert in minimally invasive hip and knee replacement surgery, including anterior hip replacement, total knee replacement, hip resurfacing and partial knee replacement.
As a surgeon expert in biorobotics and engineering, Dr. Debbi has particular expertise in providing the latest computer-assisted and robotic surgery for his patients and has a passion for investigating and developing new technological innovations for joint replacement. He has published extensively and has been invited to present his work nationally and internationally. His ultimate goal is to provide the best technological and individualized treatments for each of his patients.
Dr. Debbi was born and raised in New York and graduated from Yale University, Summa Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa with Honors in Biology and Biotechnology. He graduated from medical school at the top of his class and earned numerous awards during his medical and doctoral degrees. He completed his orthopedic residency at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles and fellowship in Adult Reconstruction and Joint Replacement at HSS, where he earned multiple clinical and research awards. Prior to returning to HSS, Dr. Debbi led a successful hip and knee replacement practice at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, California.

My office is located at The Pavilion, 541 East 71st Street. The main entrance to The Pavilion is on the north side of 71st Street underneath the sky bridge that connects the main hospital to the Belaire Building.
Dr. Debbi is very passionate about research and innovation in orthopedic surgery and specifically hip and knee replacement. In addition to being a hip and knee replacement surgeon, Dr. Debbi also has a PhD. in Biorobotics, Biomechanics and Mechanical Engineering. By leveraging his knowledge in engineering, Dr. Debbi hopes to help advance the treatment of patients undergoing hip and knee replacement. He has a strong interest in innovation and research in device and implant design as well as in computer navigation and robotic technology inside and outside the operating room. Dr. Debbi has numerous innovations and publications in hip and knee replacement and has received multiple awards for his work. He is very excited about the current and future technology applications that can be used to create enhanced and individualized treatments for every patient.
