Watertown Daily Times—April 23, 2017
Watertown Daily Times reported that Intellijoint HIP, a smart tool for orthopedic surgeons to use during total hip replacement surgeries, has been used more than 1,000 times since it was launched last year.
Peter K. Sculco, MD, adult reconstruction and joint replacement surgeon at HSS performed the 1000th procedure. "All surgeons want to provide the best outcome for their patients. A hip replacement should strive to replicate native anatomy as this best optimizes muscle function and overall recovery. When it comes to a successful hip surgery, nature knows best and Intellijoint HIP provides me with the real-time information I need to better replicate patient anatomy," said Dr. Sculco.
