Medical update on Frank Francisco

The New York Mets announced that right-handed pitcher Frank Francisco underwent surgery today to remove a bone spur from his right elbow.  The surgery was performed by Mets Medical Director Dr. David Altchek at Hospital for Special Surgery in Manhattan.  Francisco is expected to begin throwing in six weeks and is expected to be ready for Opening Day of the 2013 season.
