New York’s New Coliseum Signs Naming Rights, Marketers, Celebs To Arena Reboot

NY Sports Journalism reports that Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum on Long Island, home to the Islanders for 43 years, has been undergoing a $260 million renovation since August 2015 and is almost ready for its grand re-opening.

The Long Island Nets, a first-year team in the NBA's Developmental League, is scheduled to play in the new coliseum beginning with the 2017-2018 D-League season.

They report that Hospital for Special Surgery has signed on to become the official hospital and medical director of the Long Island Nets.
