Most Women with Lupus Can Have Successful Pregnancy Outcomes - 2013

Research Means Hope is a campaign of the Association of American Medical Colleges and its member-medical schools and teaching hospitals to raise public awareness of the critical need for sustained federal investment in medical research conducted through the National Institutes of Health (NIH).

Promising research led by investigators at Hospital for Special Surgery may offer hope for women with lupus who once thought that pregnancy was too risky. Results from multicenter NIH PROMISSE study find pregnancy safe for 80% of women with lupus.
