VOICES Medicaid Education Program

Important Renewal Changes Are Coming to NY Medicaid

Do you or a family member currently have health insurance through New York State Medicaid, Child Health Plus, or the Essential Plan?

Starting in Spring 2023, New York State will resume eligibility reviews and renewals for individuals enrolled in these programs. This means you may need to take action to renew your health insurance or the insurance of your family members.

VOICES Medicaid Education Program provides support, education and advocacy for patients and community members seeking, or wanting to maintain access to care at the HSS Ambulatory Care Center (ACC). We help individuals navigate their Medicaid and Medicare/Medicaid plan coverage, as well as those enrolled in other public insurance programs.

Here are some of the ways our program can help you.

  • Select a Medicaid Managed Care plan.
  • Understand your options under Medicaid Managed Care, including information on how to obtain an out of network authorization.
  • Answer questions related to transitioning from Medicaid to Medicare coverage
  • Provide information related to other public insurance programs available through New York State of Health Marketplace.
