Jenny DeJesus is a Nurse Practitioner and Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist at the Hospital for Special Surgery. She obtained her BSN, MSN, and DNP from Hunter Bellevue School of Nursing in New York. Her role includes preoperative optimization, post operative diabetes care and discharge transition. She has a special interest in diabetes technology, preventative care, and using positive reinforcement to influence behavioral changes in people living with diabetes.
Prior to joining the HSS family, Jenny served as a nurse practitioner in the endocrinology division at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital. She has been a Certified Diabetes Educator since 2007.
Jenny is a member of the American Diabetes Association and the American Diabetes Educators Association.
