Karen Griffin, NP, is a board certified adult nurse practitioner and Diplomat of the American College of Lifestyle Medicine. She has over 13 years of experience at HSS, where she has worked in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit and recently joined the Lifestyle Medicine team.
Before joining HSS, she worked in the cardiac catheterization lab and the MICU at New York-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center. She has also been a travel nurse in Massachusetts and New York City and worked as a Cardiac Step-Down Nurse in North Carolina. As she looks forward to growing her role at HSS and in Lifestyle Medicine, Karen continues to expand her skills and knowledge.
Karen earned her Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry and Biology from Warren Wilson College, an Associate of Science in Nursing from Asheville Buncombe Technical Community College, and her Masters of Science in Nursing from Stony Brook University. A member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses and Diplomat of the American College of Lifestyle Medicine, she is dedicated to her professional growth.
Karen’s hobbies include travel, reading, tennis, wood working, and biking. She currently spends the majority of her free time with her proudest accomplishments, her two children Sully and Sienna.
