Henal Shah is a Family Nurse Practitioner at the Hospital for Special Surgery on the Foot and Ankle Service. She has an extensive nursing background in a variety of different specialties including orthopedics, pediatrics, and adult primary care. She recently completed a Primary Care APN Fellowship program with Hackensack Meridian Health where she provided primary care to underserved communities. During this time, she developed a strong interest in orthopedics, especially of the foot and ankle. Now, she works alongside Dr. Drakos in the OR, as well as in the office seeing patients.
She is a current member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) and Sigma Theta Tau International Nursing Honor’s Society. Henal also obtained her Registered Nurse First Assist (RNFA) this year. She has her BSN and DNP from Rutgers University and is board certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner by the AANP.
Henal enjoys traveling with her husband, exploring new cuisines, listening to audio books, and doing arts and crafts.
