Computer Assisted Surgery (CAS)

Computer-assisted surgery (CAS) uses computer technology and, sometimes, medical robotics to deliver advanced precision in planning and performing surgical procedures.

In some spine surgeries, CAS tools give surgeons a three-dimensional view of the operation and use a technology similar to a global positioning system (GPS) to provide more accurate targeting and measurement than ever before possible.
