When Kate took to the stage at NYC’s Lincoln Center, she looked super cute in a black and white polka dot dress but we couldn’t help worrying about her feet. “Both flying a great deal and increased exercise can cause swelling of the feet and ankles,” explains Rock Positano, DPM, MSc, MPH, director of the non-surgical Foot and Ankle Service at Hospital for Special Surgery in New York. “When muscles, tendons and ligaments aren’t accustomed to that level of exercise, it’s common to develop overuse injuries. To get rid of swelling Kate needs to elevate her ankles at night and ice as much as possible,” he advises.
