Compartment Syndrome is the compression of blood vessels and nerves in an enclosed area. It can lead to bigger problems, such as muscle and nerve damage and blood flow issues, if it’s not treated immediately.
Nicks was sent to Hospital for Special Surgery this afternoon for a fasciotomy - - a procedure where a deep cut is made in the skin to relieve the tension and pressure in the enclosed area.
