With his knee tightly wrapped and still trying to sort through what happened a few hours earlier, Danny Anthrop loaded himself onto the bus following the Nov. 1 loss at Nebraska.
Although the extent of his right knee injury wasn’t known before the Boilermakers traveled back to West Lafayette, one of Purdue’s top receivers was already planning ahead.
He’s two months removed from surgery, which was performed in New York City by orthopedic surgeon Dr. David Altchek. Altchek repaired former Purdue men’s basketball standout Robbie Hummel’s second anterior cruciate ligament injury.
