After igniting Giants running game, Rashad Jennings hands out award to Roosevelt’s Chukwuma Ukwu

New York Daily News—December 15, 2015

New York Daily News reports that New York Giants running back Rashad Jennings spent the day at Roosevelt High School in Long Island in a surprise appearance to present the Heart of a Giant award to football player Chukwuma Ukwu.

The award, presented by the Giants and Hospital for Special Surgery, recognizes high school football players in the tri-state area for their work ethic and passion for football, something that hits close to home for Jennings.

Ukwu earned the award through his selfless work ethic, which included foregoing the Nassau County All-Star Thanksgiving game to serve dinner to families in need and spending time with children and elderly with cerebral palsy as well as other volunteer work throughout the community.
