EAST RUTHERFORD – Prior to becoming the starting running back for the Giants, Rashad Jennings had spent his entire NFL career as the next-man up.
Jennings limped into the locker room Monday wearing a knee brace, but harboring optimism from what he heard from the Giants' medical staff and the doctors at the Hospital for Special Surgery, where he underwent tests that morning.
"I asked the doctor: 'Look, surgery or no surgery? No surgery — see you later,'" said Jennings, who entered action Sunday ranked third in the NFL in rushing yards (341).
