In a Silver Sneakers article, reporter K. Aleisha Fetters highlighted six exercises to strengthen the hip muscles. HSS physical therapist Ioonna Felix, PT, DPT, OCS, CTPS explained that your hips are made up of dozens of muscles, ranging from the gluteus muscles to the pelvic floor muscles. 

"The key is to make these exercises a regular part of your routine. For example, try performing them after meals or to break up sitting time throughout the day," said Felix.
