Oliveros, 24, was having surgery to remove bone chips but there was concern for the ligament, assistant general manager Rob Antony said. When Dr. David Altchek went in, he determined the ligament had to be repaired, a nearly identical situation to the one that led to Scott Baker's Tommy John surgery in April.
"We had our fingers crossed," Antony said.
