ESPN reports that New York Mets pitcher Zack Wheeler received a cortisone injection last week at Hospital for Special Surgery after complaining of elbow discomfort. According to the article, "There had been concern Wheeler had done serious damage to his surgically repair[ed] elbow, such as popping the pronator. Instead, team doctors were ecstatic with the shape of Wheeler's Tommy John surgery repair. Wheeler was diagnosed with nerve irritation."
