About Dr. Angelo

Dr. Nicole Angelo is a physiatrist at HSS specializing in the care of acute and chronic musculoskeletal, sports-related, and spine conditions. She treats patients with injuries and pain of the spine (i.e., neck, midback, and low back/buttock) as well as the shoulder, elbow, wrist, hand, hip, knee, and foot/ankle. With a focus on conservative management, her goal is to provide patients with the appropriate tools to return to their chosen activities, at their desired level, and to promote a healthy and active lifestyle. When indicated, Dr. Angelo is skilled in fluoroscopic-guided injections of the spine and peripheral joints, as well as ultrasound-guided injections for pathology of the peripheral joints, tendons, and musculature including corticosteroid, platelet-rich plasma, and hyaluronic acid injections.

Dr. Angelo received her medical degree from New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine (NYITCOM) in Old Westbury, NY. After completing her residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School/Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation, Dr. Angelo completed her fellowship in Interventional Spine and Sports Medicine at HSS. Dr. Angelo is a former field hockey player and, as a current avid golfer, has an interest in the diagnosis and management of golf injuries. She considers herself a New Yorker, despite being born and raised in Massachusetts, and lives in Queens with her husband.
