Matthew Accetta, MS, ACSM-CEP, CSCS*D, CSPS

Matthew Accetta is an Exercise Physiologist on the Sports Rehabilitation and Performance Team at HSS. He attended Hofstra University where he attained a Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science and a Master’s Degree with Distinction in Sports Science with a concentration in Exercise Physiology. While at Hofstra University, Matthew helped conduct and publish several research projects and has been asked to serve on the board of advisors for the Exercise Physiology program. Matthew holds several certifications from governing bodies including the American College of Sports Medicine and the National Strength and Conditioning Association.

Matthew has extensive knowledge and experience with helping clients of all ages navigate the transition from rehab to a full return to the activities they love. His expertise and experience range from guiding athletes to peak performance to providing safe and effective training for those looking to exercise for the first time. He has worked with a spectrum of clients with a range of orthopedic injuries, neurological and cardiovascular disorders, and special needs.
