Cristina Martello is a physical therapist from Queens, NY. Cristina received both her undergraduate and graduate education at Sacred Heart University, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science and a Doctorate of Physical Therapy. She went on to complete an ABPTRFE Accredited Sports Physical Therapy Residency at Hospital for Special Surgery in 2022, and ultimately achieved her Board Certified- Sports Clinical Specialty. Clinically, Cristina has had extensive exposure to the emergency management of athletes across various sports and competitive levels, including high school, collegiate and professional athletics. In her career thus far, she has developed expertise in operative and non-operative rehabilitation of the shoulder, hip, knee, and the athletic spine. She enjoys treating athletes of all kinds, especially runners, swimmers, soccer players, basketball players, gymnasts and dancers. She has a special interest in preparing and returning athletes to safe play while assisting them in developing ways to further prevent injury and enhance performance.
