When referring to the Hospital the full name is “Hospital for Special Surgery.” When referring to your membership the phrase “Participating Member of the Hospital for Special Surgery Rehabilitation Network” and only that phrase may be used. Other than use of the abbreviations “HSS” in place of the full hospital name &/or “Rehab” instead of Rehabilitation, there may be no deviation from or addition to this exact language.
You may NOT use additional descriptors (i.e. Affiliate/d, Partner, Preferred provider, Recommended, HSS Certified, etc.) when referring to your membership or any relationship with HSS.
Electronic versions of the member badge/logos are provided. Any use of the logo must be approved by the Network office before it becomes public. Please contact the Rehab Network office at 212.606.1317 with any questions.
- Sizing: While you may scale the file to fit your publication needs it should not be reduced to less than 40% of the original size of the chosen file.
- Digital use (webpages, html emails, etc.): If the Network logo is used in digital form, other than resizing as noted above, it must be unaltered from the source file and must be hyperlinked to EITHER the HSS Network’s webpage at www.hss.edu/rehab-network.asp or the HSS homepage at www.hss.edu. Placement of the logo in any digital format must be approved by the Network office before it is published online.
- Printed material: HSS Rehab Network does not allow the use of its name, logos or other marks in the title or otherwise on the cover of books or other publications without prior written permission of HSS. This also includes but is not limited to: brochures and pamphlets, print advertising, window/door/wall signs &/or decals and business cards. If you are interested in using the Rehab Network’s name or logo in a publication, please submit a request to the Network office prior to printing.
- Film and TV: Use of the Rehab Network’s name, logos or other marks in a video, film or TV program must be approved by the Network office prior to production.
- Manufactured Items: Generally, HSS and the Rehab Network does not permit the use of its Marks on manufactured products (T-shirts, packaging, other memorabilia). If you wish to use any HSS mark on manufactured items, please contact the Network office to communicate your request for consideration.
