Osteoporosis is a disease that causes bones to become thin and weak, often resulting in fractures. Fractures can cause debilitating pain, reduced mobility, and a loss of quality of life. Hospital for Special Surgery has teamed with the New York State Osteoporosis Prevention and Education Program (NYSOPEP) to help patients learn about this illness and learn to live more fully.
