The Schroth Method is a conservative treatment approach for individuals with scoliosis and hyperkyphosis. Using the Schroth principles of elongation and breathing techniques in different functional positions can help to improve mobility, strength and neuromuscular control to address your specific curve. Our therapists will create an exercise program specific to your curve type and help to improve postural alignment with activities of daily living.

What do I need to make an appointment for Schroth Therapy?

• An MD prescription stating Schroth Physical Therapy
• A scoliosis X-ray series from your skull to pelvis. A normal back X-ray is not sufficient as it only captures one portion of the spine and we need to ensure there is not a compensatory curve in other areas of your spine.

Our team of physical therapists will work to create a customized program tailored for you. This may include but is not limited to manual intervention and therapeutic exercise. Therapeutic exercise describes a variety of physical activities intended to help restore and maintain strength, flexibility, endurance and balance. Our therapists will help you to restore functional movement and get you back to want you want and love to do.
