Doctor explains Lindsey Vonn's injury

NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams—February 5, 2013

Olympic gold medalist Lindsey Vonn’s season ended on the mountain in Austria Tuesday when she lost her balance and tumbled end over end down the super-G course until eventually sliding to a stop. She tore the ACL and MCL in her right knee and suffered a lateral tibial plateau fracture, all of which will need surgery.

Dr. Sabrina Strickland, an orthopedic surgeon in the Women's Sports Medicine Center at Hospital for Special Surgery in New York, describes the injury on NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams.
