Giants host fitness seminar with USA Football and Hospital for Special Surgery

Giants.com featured the New York Giants and USA Football fitness seminar presented by Hospital for Special Surgery. The seminar taught tri-state area coaches and athletes about sports nutrition, sports performance, training and football education.

Medical professionals at the seminar included HSS primary care sports medicine physician James J. Kinderknecht, MD; sports orthopedic surgeon Samuel A. Taylor, MD; performance coordinator Jamie Osmak, CSCS, USATF, CGFI-1; and clinical nutritionist Dana Pitman, MS RD CDN.

"As an orthopedic surgeon, what I chose to focus on talking about was what football meant to me growing up," said Dr. Taylor. "The values that it imparted on me in high school and college continues to affect, shape and change the way that I do my job as a physician."
