Courtney Carney, MSN, APRN, FNP-C, works as a nurse practitioner in the postoperative care program (ARJR) at the Hospital for Special Surgery. She previously worked locally in Stamford in Primary Care, but after five years decided to focus her career on orthopedics. Before graduating with her master's, Courtney started her nursing career at Stamford Hospital on a general medical surgical floor.
Courtney's academic interests are incredibly varied. They include wound care, infectious disease, and community health.
She completed her BSN at University of Vermont and her MSN at Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, Connecticut.
Courtney has many hobbies and interests including reading, hiking, traveling, and running. She is an avid sports fan – especially football. Courtney is originally from Boston, making her favorite teams the Patriots and Red Sox.
