Alexandra Farrell, MSN, CPNP, RNFA is a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner in the Pediatric Orthopedic Department at the Hospital for Special Surgery. Prior to joining the team at HSS, Alexandra worked as a nurse at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) in Pediatric Oncology. Alexandra obtained both her BSN and MSN from the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, PA. She holds board certification with the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board. Alexandra is an active member of the Pediatric Orthopedic Practitioners Society and the Pediatric Research in Sports Medicine Society.
Alexandra is also a Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA). In the OR, she assists Dr. Peter Fabricant in surgery and provides preoperative and postoperative education to patients.
Alexandra has a dedicated interest in pediatric sports medicine as well as trauma. She is a former soccer goalkeeper and rowed crew at the collegiate level at the University of Pennsylvania.
