Deepa Jose, MSN, ANP, GNP-BC, is one of the chronic nurse practitioners at the Hospital for Special Surgery. She also works as adjunct clinical faculty at College of New Rochelle. In her first job, Deepa worked as a lecturer at the Manipal College of Nursing in India. As a nurse, she worked at the Metropolitan Hospital Center (New York) in the emergency room, New York-Presbyterian/Columbia University Medical Center labor and delivery unit, and in the PACU at HSS.
Deepa’s fields of academic and clinical interest include managing acute pain in chronic pain patients with or without substance abuse issues and managing ketamine infusions.
She is a current member of the Nurse Practitioners of New York and the National Indian Nurse Practitioners Association of America.
Deepa obtained her BSN from the Manipal College of Nursing in India and MSN from Hunter College in New York. She is a board-certified adult nurse practitioner and geriatric nurse practitioner.
Deepa enjoys travelling, biking, reading, and Bikram Yoga.
