Tamara McFarlane, MSN, RN, FNP-BC, is a Family Nurse Practitioner at the Hospital for Special Surgery working with the Adult Reconstruction and Joint Replacement (ARJR) Service. She previously served as a CN I on PACU 9 in the Ambulatory Surgery department at HSS for 3 years. Prior to that, Tamara was a Registered Nurse at HHC Woodhull Hospital and Mount Sinai West in the Emergency Department. She has also worked in community-based group homes providing nursing care for the Office for People of Development Disabilities population.
Tamara is a current member of The American Association of Nurse Practitioners and the New York State Nursing Association.
Tamara obtained her AAS from CUNY Borough of Manhattan Community College, her BSN from St. Francis College in Brooklyn, NY and MSN from CUNY Lehman College. She is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-BC) from the ANCC.Tamara enjoys spending time with her family and friends travelling back home to her native Barbados whenever time permits, as well as traveling to new places.
