Elaine Walsh, MSN, RN, ONC, ANP-BC is an Adult Nurse Practitioner at the Hospital for Special Surgery, Long Island Outpatient Center working as a Post Operative Care NP with the Adult Reconstruction and Joint Replacement (ARJR) Service. She has worked at HSS for 17 years and previously started as a CN III in the PACU and served as an NP for the Anticoagulation Service. Prior to HSS, Elaine worked as a RN in California at Little Company of Mary San Pedro, inpatient rehab unit and the surgical floor at North Shore Glen Cove. She also worked as an RN at Green Card Medical Exams.
She is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, Long Island Nurse Practitioner Association and National Association of Orthopedic Nurses.
Elaine served as a chapter reviewer for the NAON Core Curriculum. She was also the recipient of the Kathryn Kahane Nursing Scholarship in 2009 and the Gigi Viellion Scholarship Recipient 2012.
Elaine obtained her ASN from Nassau Community College, BSN, and MSN at Adelphi University. She is a board-certified Adult Nurse Practitioner (ANP-BC) from the ANCC.
Elaine enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She especially enjoys watching her three children on the baseball and softball field. Elaine’s other interests are exercising on her peloton, traveling, concerts, and trying new restaurants.
