Patients Weigh In on ACR Sessions

Patients who attended the 2017 American College of Rheumatology (ACR) Annual Meeting were the focus of The Arthritis Foundation blog highlighting their perspective in determining the best treatment plan.

According to the article, HSS social worker and senior manager of the inflammatory arthritis support and education program Adena Batterman, MSW, LCSW spoke at the panel, "The Patient/Provider Dance: Enhancing Shared Decision-Making."

"…The best concept to use when using shared decision-making is ‘start where the patient is.’ The best decisions are made from there," she said.
