Daily Burn featured HSS exercise physiologist Pamela Geisel MS, CSCS in an article about metabolic conditioning (metcon) workouts.
Geisel said a bonus benefit of metcon workouts is that, by placing large demands on your body’s energy systems, they burn calories at a high rate.

Geisel said metcon workouts are best served as a 5 to 10 minute finisher at the end of a strength training routine.
