Advance Healthcare Network's News Watch reports that a Hospital for Special Surgery study determines that patients who go home after knee replacement and receive physical therapy at home do as well as those who go to an inpatient rehabilitation facility.
The study was conducted by Hospital for Special Surgery orthopedic surgeon, Douglas E. Padgett, MD, and director of the HSS' Healthcare Research Institute, Stephen Lyman, PhD.
