Theoretically, Falk Could get Clearance if he’s Passing a Series of Tests

The Lewiston Tribune—November 26, 2015

The Lewiston Tribune covers the recent concussion injury to Washington State quarterback Luke Falk. If Falk is progressing through concussion protocol, he could theoretically play in the Apple Cup, satisfying the NCAA’s recommended six-day protocol.

The governing body "specifically outlines that anybody who is diagnosed with a concussion cannot return to play in the same game," said Dr. Kenton Fibel, sports medicine specialist at Hospital for Special Surgery. "So the fact that he was evaluated by them and was determined not to have sustained a concussion, and it sounds like he returned to the game and did well, I don't think that (incident) would factor into any of the decision-making for this most recent one."
