Becker's Hospital Review has named the following hospitals and health systems to its list, "100 hospitals with great neurosurgery and spine programs."
These hospitals and systems offer remarkable spine and neurosurgical care as based on clinical accolades and recognition from various healthcare groups and agencies. These hospitals have been recognized for excellence in the specialties by U.S. News & World Report, Healthgrades, Blue Cross Blue Shield, CareChex and the American Nurses Credentialing Center:

Hospital for Special Surgery (New York City). Founded in 1863, Hospital for Special Surgery is the nation's oldest orthopedic hospital, and the hospital has also earned a reputation for neurology and spine care. Nearly 20 specialists provide spine care at HSS, and neurologist-in-chief and department director Dale J. Lange, MD, is the current president of the New York State Neurological Society. The hospital was first in the state to receive Magnet recognition for nursing excellence. Also, several athletic teams turn to HSS physicians for care, including the New York Mets and Knicks.
