ESPN staff writer David Newton reports on Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton who recently suffered a concussion during play.
He speaks with multiple medical experts including Erin Manning, MD, neurologist at HSS.
"A lot of the concussions the quarterbacks get are from hits they just didn't see coming," said Dr. Manning. "There's just no way to prepare for that."
"We do know if you've had a concussion, you're definitely more prone to having more prolonged symptoms after later concussions," she added.
