About Dr. Cong

Dr. Elaine Alice Cong is an Attending Physician at HSS and is board certified in endocrinology, diabetes and metabolism. She specializes in the evaluation and treatment of patients with endocrine conditions with particular interest in bone health.

After receiving her undergraduate degree from Princeton University, Dr. Cong received her medical degree from Einstein College of Medicine. She completed an internal medicine internship and residency at Yale New Haven Hospital and trained as a fellow in endocrinology, diabetes, and metabolism at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons.

During medical school, Dr. Cong received the Edward Weinstein Award for Outstanding Scholarship and Human Commitment. During her fellowship, she received the Endocrine Fellows Foundation Research Grant to investigate problems of thinking and memory in patients with primary hyperparathyroidism, a metabolic bone disease. She has presented at national academic conferences and authored peer-reviewed publications.

Dr. Cong is a member of the Endocrine Society and the American Society for Bone and Mineral Research.
