Dr. Joseph Oxendine is a board-certified anesthesiologist who joined Hospital for Special Surgery’s Attending Staff in 2005. An expert in ultrasound-guided techniques for peripheral nerve blocks and in catheter placement, he is also one of the leaders for the department’s website initiative and has been instrumental in the development of teaching curricula for trainees in ultrasound. Dr. Oxendine is also involved in humanitarian efforts and has participated in several medical missions to Asia.
