Dr. Ayoosh Pareek is an orthopedic surgeon at HSS specializing in hip, knee, and shoulder surgery, with a particular focus on complex reconstruction and joint preservation across the age spectrum. He is also an Assistant Professor of Orthopedic Surgery at Weill Cornell Medical College. Dr. Pareek completed undergraduate studies in Applied Math at Brown University, medical school at the University of Pennsylvania, followed by an orthopedic surgery residency at the Mayo Clinic, the #1 hospital in the world. He then pursued a prestigious 2-year fellowship in Sports Medicine at HSS, perennially the #1 orthopedic hospital and musculoskeletal institute. He also completed an advanced traveling fellowship in Europe, where he focused on complex hip and knee preservation, and cartilage/osteotomy surgery in patients who wished to avoid replacement surgery/arthroplasty. Dr. Pareek also utilizes biologics such as stem cells, PRP, and bone marrow aspirate to enhance recovery and improve outcomes where appropriate.
Dr. Pareek has provided care to athletes at all levels, from recreational to professional, including the New York Mets and New York Knicks. His contributions to the field have been recognized with several national and international awards. He is also a member of several national and international professional organizations.
