Dr Efstathia Tzatha is a double-board certified Attending Neurologist at HSS specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of neuromuscular diseases, including peripheral neuropathy, myopathy, spine disorders, and radiculopathy.
After receiving her medical degree from the University of Athens in Greece, Dr. Tzatha then moved to the USA and joined the neurology department at NIH (National Institutes of Health) as a research fellow. She completed her medical internship and neurology residency at Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, DC and Weill Cornell Medical College/New York Presbyterian Hospital. She completed fellowship training in Clinical Neurophysiology with emphasis in epilepsy and Intraoperative Neurophysiological Monitoring and continued with a second fellowship training in Peripheral Neuropathy, both at Weill Cornell Medical College.
Dr. Tzatha previously served as staff neurologist at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center where she specialized in the neurological complications of cancer and cancer treatment with an emphasis on chemotherapy and immunotherapy peripheral neuropathy. More recently, she was an attending neurologist at the Mount Sinai Health System where she was providing inpatient neurological consultations.
