Dr. Tony Wanich is an Orthopedic Surgeon at the HSS Sports Medicine Institute specializing in the management of injuries to the shoulder, knee, and elbow. Dr. Wanich has been recognized by New York Magazine and NJ Monthly as a “Top Doctor” in Sports Medicine. He is an Assistant Professor at Weill Cornell Medical College and is a Team Physician for the New York Red Bulls Soccer Team.
Dr. Wanich has extensive experience in the surgical and nonsurgical management of sports injuries. His clinical and research interests include the treatment of rotator cuff tears, shoulder instability, ACL tears, meniscus tears, cartilage injuries, and ligamentous injuries of the elbow. He is particularly focused on minimally invasive arthroscopic approaches and the use of biologic augmentation including PRP and stem cells to enhance recovery.
