Kate Baird is an Exercise Physiologist on the Sports Rehabilitation and Performance Team, as well as the Metabolic Testing Coordinator. She attended New World School of the Arts for a Bachelor’s Degree in Dance before moving to the big apple. She then graduated from Teacher's College Columbia University with her Master's in Exercise Physiology, while also maintaining her NSCA CSCS and ACSM EP-C certifications. She is also FRCms, TRX, Kettlebell, and Human Matrix certified.
Kate has worked in both clinical and commercial environments over the past 10 years. Her extensive experience includes coordinating research in diabetes and exercise, helping to develop metabolic testing, lecturing in Strength and Conditioning and Motor Development for both undergraduates and graduates, and consulting for various studio fitness companies. As an Exercise Physiologist, she has worked with runners, professional athletes, and weekend warriors performing exercise testing, exercise prescription, and teaching group fitness. She has worked with individuals with a variety of special considerations such as diabetes, cardiovascular and metabolic disease, osteoporosis, arthritis, and return to sport after injury. As a new mom to a daughter herself, she also enjoys working with women before and after birth and believes each body takes on its own journey. Kate is driven by helping people develop the knowledge and motivation to embody both their physical and mental best in life and do the things they want to do.
