Allison Greer, PT, DPT, SCS

Allison Greer is a board-certified clinical specialist in sports physical therapy. Allison earned her doctor of physical therapy degree from Duke University and subsequently completed a sports residency program at Proaxis Therapy. She then worked at Mayo Clinic Orthopedics and Sports Medicine, prior to joining the team at Hospital for Special Surgery in 2022.

Allison has particular interests in rehabilitation of the hip, knee and shoulder, as well as working with athletes who enjoy running. Allison leads the Running Mechanics Analysis Program at the HSS Sports East location.

Allison is also passionate about clinical education and research. She enjoys teaching and providing clinical mentorship to various levels of learners. Allison’s research interests include patterns of recovery after hip arthroscopy and biomechanical contributors to running overuse injuries.

As a former collegiate runner, Allison’s athletic experiences serve to better inform and enrich her clinical practice. Allison’s patient care philosophy is centered on patient empowerment, by providing education and prescribing individualized treatment plans, while promoting physical activity throughout the lifespan.
