The Ellen and Joe Wright Prosthetic and Orthotic Fund makes it possible for pediatric patients to receive the custom and non-custom devices they need. These patients seek care for conditions including, but not limited to, spina bifida, arthritis, limb length discrepancy, cerebral palsy, and ACL injury.
The demands on the fund continue to grow as insurers place further restrictions on coverage, and delays in payment may occur even for those devices that are covered. The Wright Fund bridges this gap for those who need our services most.
The Ellen and Joe Wright Prosthetic and Orthotic Fund has improved the lives of patients by helping them maintain and enhance their mobility and quality of life. We anticipate that the demand for these services will continue to grow, and it is gratifying to know that through the Wright Fund, Hospital for Special Surgery has the resources to help those we care for get the prosthetic and orthotic devices they need.
