Patient Case History: Tzvi

Complex Tibia Fracture in a Child

Pre-Op

Patient Surgeon: S. Robert Rozbruch
Tzvi is a 14 year-old boy who was in a high-energy ski accident. He fractured his tibia and developed compartment syndrome that required an emergency faciotomy.

Post-Op

We treated him by reducing and stabilizing the fracture with an Ilizarov Taylor Spatial Frame. Correction of all deformity was accomplished without any surgical incision.
