About Dr. Bennett

Dr. Dylan Bennett is a fellowship-trained, double board-certified Sports Medicine Physician specializing in the nonsurgical treatment of acute, overuse, and chronic musculoskeletal injuries. He currently serves as an Associate Physician for the New York Mets.

With a background rooted in primary care, Dr. Bennett focuses on utilizing a holistic patient-centered approach, concentrating on the patient's athletic experiences and goals in life. Additionally, he utilizes a wide array of advanced techniques and minimally invasive procedures in the office setting with the goal of non-surgical management, and prompt referral to unparalleled surgical colleagues when appropriate.

Prior to joining HSS, Dr. Bennett graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Massachusetts where he was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa and awarded the Outstanding Student Award for the top-ranked student in the field of Biology. He then earned his medical degree from New York Medical College where he where he was elected a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society, signifying graduation within the top 15% of his class. He completed his residency in the field of Internal Medicine at Brown University. Dr. Bennett completed his fellowship in Sports Medicine at the Hospital For Special Surgery where he served as an Assistant Physician for the New York Football Giants, New York Mets, and the New York City Public Schools Athletic League.

Dr. Bennett has served as a team physician at the High school, Collegiate, and Professional level. He is also actively involved in clinical research, having authored numerous peer-reviewed articles and guidelines in sports medicine with a particular focus on sports performance, preventative medicine, chronic tendinopathy, and regenerative medicine. He has a professional passion for performance, preventative medicine, and maintaining a healthy active lifestyle through which he strives to provide a personalized comprehensive approach to help his patients achieve their health and performance goals.
