How do I schedule an appointment?
Appointments are required. In some circumstances, evaluation and treatment may be available without a physician referral (physical therapy only). For HSS Rehabilitation and Performance Virtual Care appointments, call 877.606.1555.
HSS@Home for surgical patients: If you are having physical therapy after surgery, your first virtual visit will occur the day after you are sent home from HSS. The appointments will be scheduled with you either before you are sent home or the first day you are home from the hospital. Appointments with HSS physical therapists are typically scheduled for one to three times per week for one to three weeks, until you are ready for the next phase of your care.
Program Information
What happens during a virtual visit?
Your virtual visit will be much as the same as your in-person visit would be. You will see your therapist, exercise physiologist, dietician, or Pilates instructor face to face through a private, secure connection.
- If you are having an appointment for physical or occupational therapy, your therapist will assess your health status, demonstrate exercises, stretches and activities, and provide feedback as they watch you perform them.
- For speech therapy appointments, your therapist will work with your child on articulation, play skills, and oral motor activities.
- For sports performance, your exercise physiologist will tailor the session to meet any and all of your performance goals.
- For nutrition consultations, your sports dietician will talk to you about your specific needs and goals and help you put together an action plan.
- For Pilates, your certified Pilates instructor will guide you through a Pilates mat session designed to meet your specific mind/body goals.
